On the four weekends of ‘Advent’ 2012, the Bavarian count-down to Christmas Eve, the famous Christkindlmarkt of Rottach-Egern will once more set up its wooden stalls and hang out its twinkling fairy lights, creating a magical sight on the lake’s southern end. On the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 23rd of December, from 2 pm onwards, you are welcome to join the spirit of Christmas, to sample delicious Bavarian Christmas snacks like roast nuts, vanilla and coconut cookies, and to let yourself be enchanted by original Alpine music such as the Alpenhorn or local choirs.
