Waldfeste - Forest Festivals 2012
They are the traditional forerunners of the famous Munich Oktoberfest: merry outdoor gatherings under the shade of trees that last from morning to midnight and include locally brewed beer, brass music, roast fish, giant pretzels, and many fair ground attractions. The biggest and most popular festivals last for 3 days. In the case of heavy rain, festivals will be held on another day. Traditional costume is worn by most visitors. [more]
